Before Faith, We are human
I am wondering if God comes to the earth, does he like an atheist or a religious person?
This question was raised upon seeing a religious person offering food, hygiene products, and some comfort products in the temple or church in the name of god to people who can't afford them, hoping to get a seat in heaven or seeking some favour from the god in return. On the other hand, a person who is an atheist just helps the people in needs inspite of expecting nothing in return from the god or anyone.
From the above example. Who has the purest heart of all? Is it really an atheist?
But still, that's not a valid statement here.... WHY?
There are a couple of other statements that I changed my thinking about the god and religion in a different way :
From Thirumoolar
This verse from Thirumandiram explains that there is no difference between "God" (Sivam) and "Love" (Anbu).
Transliteration:
Anbum Sivamum irandu-enbar arivilaar Anbey Sivam-aavadhu aarum arigilaar Anbey Sivam-aavadhu aarum arindhapin Anbey Sivam-aayi amarndh-irundhaarey.
Meaning: "The ignorant say that Love and God (Siva) are two different things. Nobody knows that Love itself is God. Once they realize that Love itself is God, they will rest in that Love, becoming God themselves."
Thirukurral
Thiruvalluvar argues that living a good life on earth is equal to being a God in heaven.
Tamil Lines:
வையத்துள் வாழ்வாங்கு வாழ்பவன் வான்உறையும் தெய்வத்துள் வைக்கப் படும்.
Transliteration:
Vaiyaththu vaazhvaangu vaazhbavan vaan-uraiyum Deivaththul vaikkap padum.
Meaning: "He who lives on earth as he ought to live (with truth and virtue), will be placed among the Gods who dwell in heaven." (Implying: You don't need to worship God to become divine; you just need to live ethically.)
Some energy created this world, living and nonliving matters - We named them God. Religion is a philosophy of how humans tend to live with virtues, morales and harmony so no one gets hurt.
Exploring life in this world means listening to your heart and choosing the path that feels right to you. It gives a sense of peace and satisfaction. Whether you are religious or an atheist, the heart wants to help others. When we help people who truly need it, we bring them smiles and happiness. This makes me believe that those who think about helping others have the purest hearts of all.
I wanted to share my thought in this story for Anyone Who’s Ever Wondered in the same way as me.
